The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O thou enveloped in thy cloak, 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 And thine raiment purify. 4 And pollution shun. 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 But for your Lord be patient. 7 When the Trumpet shall be sounded, 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 LEAVE Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 To whom I granted resources in abundance, 12 And children present [with him] 13 And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably; 14 and who still desires more. 15 By no means! Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. 31
