Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 As a warning unto men, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 about the sinners. 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
