NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 As a warning unto men, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About the guilty: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
