No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 about the sinners. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
