No, by the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
