No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 Warn the men. 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except those of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the sinners. 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
