Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
