▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humans, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly." 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
