Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 about the sinners. 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
