Nay! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
