NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the receding night 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the guilty: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
God the Almighty always says the truth.
