No, by the moon! 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
