By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
