No! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 in Gardens they will question 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
