Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 From the guilty. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
