Nay, by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 Warn the men. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
