Nay, and by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
