▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 Warn the men. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
