No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 From the guilty. 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 running away from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
