Nay, by the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until death approached us". 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
