By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
