No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
