Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
