Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
