Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
