Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
