Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
