Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
