Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
