Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
