Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
