Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
