Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
