Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
