Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
