Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
