Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
