Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
