Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
