Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
