Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
