Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
