Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
