In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
