Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
