Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
