Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
