Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
