In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
