Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
