Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
